OK, I understand that to the best of anyone's knowledge The Toledo Pressed Steel Co. did not manufacture any model of road torch with a depressed top; but, I would think that the force needed to compress the torch into itself would have caused damage to the burner hood and as you can see from the picture the hood is in fairly pristine condition. Unless it is a replacement hood. hmmmmmm I really don't think this was done by accident. Someone probably needed a lower profile torch and intentially depressed the top of the torch. Thanks for the good discussion.
