I use Boeshield T-9 on my full sized prirate ship cannon that sits in my yard (my wife won't let me keep it in the living room). A couple times a year is all it takes. You can buy it in 1 Gallon containers an even smaller if you wish. It goes on very easily, and dries to a smooth wax finish in only a few minutes.
