I agree with Darrell on both counts. The globe is correct for a 40's D-Lite and the wires will engage the nobs if you remove the globe and squeeze them together first. Loc-Nobs were invented because of the short globe tendency for the globe to tip and roll out. They work well on short and little short globes, but don't ask too much from the tall Fitzall versions. This was all part of a general trend, already underway in the industry, to turn globe protecting wires into globe gripping wires. BB
