The production date will be in the form: S-7-44, for example, meaning produced in July 1944. I would not bother with setting up a tank for acid, molasses, or electrolysis unless I had more than one lantern to derust. That scale is more suited for lanterns that are rusty all-over and never had a factory painted finish. The factory paint on your lantern will not respond well to the process. What your Blizzard needs is hand prep with steel wool and some fresh paint. Arresting the rust is the main thing, here.
Streamline Blizzards are commonly acquired for $20-$30 on ebay, depending on postage. Many collectors find them at more bargain prices at flea markets. The Rayo 2CB/BE globe; however, would bring $40 to $80 at auction. Have some fun with this globe and take it into a dark place and shine a black light on it. It will glow a greenish-yellow color if it was made before 1915. BB
