Any time reproduction items come out though, the prices for the authentic pieces drop in value by at least half. I'm dumping my brackets as soon as I see it coming while I can get a decent price for them and replace them later with the cheaper reproductions.
You can barely sell an authentic colored globe now due to the low prices and abundance of reproductions available. The reproductions are easily recognizable and are not disguised to be fakes to fool someone, but they still greatly decrease the value of originals. A lot of the reproduction colored globes are coming back out in lanterns to get rid of them, I guess to increase the price of a junk lantern or because they are so different from the originals.
