Thank you, gentlemen, for the excellent information about my Farwell Ozmun Kirk Best-Evr. The bottom of the tank has a written note stating it came from "Helen's farm." I'm sure Helen would be surprised that her lantern generated all that discussion!
Here are three more FOK lanterns. The one on the left is an FOK No. 2 Triumph with a brass tank. It is also marked MADE IN U.S.A. on the top. The middle is an FOK No. 0 with an FOK globe. The globe is also embossed HAM, do you think Ham made the lantern? The one on the right has an FOK globe but I don't know if it goes with this lantern. The lantern is marked OVB No 2 on the tank and appears to have original red paint. Can you tell me what OVB stands for? I am hoping to find an early FOK catalog that shows their marked lanterns. The earliest catalogs I have are from the 30's by which time they were selling the standard Dietz line. I really need to get busy and clean these guys. I find it easier to acquire them then to keep up with the restoration. Thanks again!
