Almost anything is collectible - just look at ebay :-) On the other hand I am not sure that these lanterns are particularly valuable. I have a couple made my by (I was going to say another company but I just looked and they are) Chalwyn. I think I paid about $20 each. I do remember that they came from the town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico which I thought was rather cool.
From what I have read... these were used in Britain up until the 1970s so it many not be extremely old. There were many other makers of the same style of lantern.
