The Dietz Night Watch lamp with the blue painted body and the top painted red in GAV's collection is a very rare lamp with I'm told only five prototypes ever being made.
The lamp is an experimental flashing kerosene unit, Roger Kessler has two I believe but the other two?
Flashing kerosene hazard lamps did go into production in Australia in the late 1950's by Artcraft but they were never popular and very sensitive to the wick height, quite often they simply blew themselves out.
Many thanks Greg for making these photos available, GAV has sent to me several photos over the years from his collection but I had no idea how large it was.
