I've been questioning the origin of the TRADE MARK UNIVERSAL globes also. I have several red globes, all marked exactly the same and no mfg/mold marks anywhere. I do have a clear one and it is also cast marked CITY OF MILWAUKEE.
The reds are hard enough to come by, the clears must really be rare.
