I've been lucky enough to purchace two Night Watch lanterns. Both lanterns were never fired, they still had the lighting instructions inside the globe and yellow paint on the tip of the wick. There must be slight design changes to the center globe gard. On one the gard is spot welded to the outside of the of the three uprights and on the other the gard passes through a notch on the inside of the uprights. I dont know if there are any other design changes. Like you said you dont see as many Night Watch lanterns as Traffic Gard's. I'll have to keep looking to get another one that I can take outside and light.
