I looked up the other lantern I have. It is a Standard Deck brass lantern which was made for the US Navy in WW1, by the Universal Metal Spinning & Stamping company. Mine is brass but it also has a coat of black paint that looks like it may have been applied at the factory. And, as I mentioned in my previous post, the globe is starting to develop a purple cast. Both these lanterns are in excellent condition. Not too sure if you find all that interesting, I do. Rummona
