oops. Forgot to mention--This lantern is 13 inches high. It has a very small hole for refilling fuel. The 'shield' is mounted outside the lantern and spans from top to bottom. It is sorta' corrigated in circles, around the 2 inch round piece of red glass. There are no wires around the globe; it is held in by the top and bottom of the lantern. The frame appears to be metal, with black adhered to the metal. Wish I had a camera so you all could see what I am describing. Any idea about what this lantern is? Thank you, in advance, for your thoughts on this.
