Hey Mike,
Try heating the frozen parts with a hairdryer set on high. If indeed the part is stuck due to gummy kerosene deposits, they should loosen up. If it is stuck with rust, a good penetrant should do the job. I have read that a product called BB Blaster works well, although I have yet to try it.
