I got my hands on a Dietz 40 today. It doesn't exactly match up with the
configurations at http://home.earthlink.net/~trafficgard/dietz1.html . It
appears to be some sort of transitional model.
It has a Type 2 horizontal guard wire, a type 2 dome clamp, but a type 3
loop handle.
It has a "Y" type wick riser with a knob rather than a hidden wick
adjustment.
The uprights seem to be a later version that has the extra hole for a
hidden wick adjuster, even though the slot for the wick adjuster is set up
for an exposed adjuster and does not line up with any of the extra holes. Also, the uprights have holes for the horizontal wire guard, something that a type 3 would not have in it.
Is this anything rare or fairly common?
