I have acquired several Dietz road torches recently. I am a little new to the variatons.
I have one stamped "96" it has no ring, and there is a round plate welded to the bottom. At first I thought the plate was a repair, but now I am sure it is original equipment. Is that normal, or is it a different varoation of the "96"?
Also, I compaired the "all-weather" burner from teh one stamped ""96" with another one that I got that has no number on the container. The non-numberd one has a ring on it. The all-weather burner out of the marked "96" has several more turns on the threads than the one out of the unmarked container. Other than that the burners look identical. Are thse two variations of the burned common, or is one rare?
Thanks for any insight.
I can do some pictures if needed.
Rick
