Imagine my surprise to see this post. I am currently training a Black and Tan Coonhound for Blood Tracking. He seems to be coming along rather nicely. It is a learning experience for the both of us.
I think the difference is to get them very young to start training them. I have had Willie since he was 5 weeks old and I have not raised him like we do the rest of the hunting coonhounds.
I am hoping that he does well this season.
