i know of a friend that has a beagle that tracts blood . he was a cull pup because he would walk 3-5 feet and stop and bark and then keep doing this while he hunted . they call it a walky talky beagle and rabbit hunters cull them . i have BMH's and they work the best . as for the WHD they would'nt work to good in my hunting conditions . to me if you can spend alot of time with any pup they will learn to do what you want . they may not do it as good as other breeds but you can teach most dogs anything . you just need to only teach him to do one job and no other .
