I have an 11 month old lab that found his first deer when he was 13 weeks old. I think if you worked her at it she would become a good dog. Do some artifical lines not far about 100 to 150 yards straight. She how she likes it. She will tell you if she can do it or not. Dont worry too much about the gun shyness. You can spend a little time and break that nasty habit too.
