Posted by Bigshrimp I have seen the DD mentioned on a few posts and understand that they must complete an aged track in their breeding test...but what about the other breeds? I am particularly interested in the DL (German Longhaired Pointer). If anyone has experience (first or second hand) in blood tracking with this breed then I would love to hear it! The NAVHDA testing system in North America does require blood tracking in the utility test but it is a very short and hot track...I would love to know how these breeds perform when the track gets much more difficult (i.e. most real-world situations!).

Would like to get everyone's opinion on using a HPR/versatile breed as a blood tracking dog.
