Keeping Deer Blood

I understand that it is best to devide the blood into small containers and freeze them, however, that didn't happen. How long is it ok to keep blood in a refrigerator in a two liter bottle. The blood was recovered from a fresh bow kill and has been in the frige for about 2 1/2 weeks.
