Sally, your problem is a very common one. Most dogs grow out of it but then there are others that never do. I can not explain how to make the loop. There is a way to loop your leed over your dogs back and feed it up to their collar. When the dog picks it head up to go fast it pulls down on the rear end and slows the dog down some. Hopefully John or Andy will log on and be able to tell you more about this or maybe have another suggestion.
