it depends on where you hurt . do you want a wirehaired for 2 wheel drive or a 4x4 like a barvarian . you can get a dog from the pound . but if it's not from all hunting lines then there will be 1 in 100 chance . we don't like to claim our dogs are the best . but i would put money on my barvarian anyday to any dog . but i like 4x4 's . i've watch my dog do a tall 72 hours hour just to see if it could . dogs are funny they will smell the blood from another dog when hog hunting there's always a stitch or two and the dog will follow that trail . this does'nt mean 4x4 are better than 2 wheel drive . because the dachshund is a good tracker when you don't need 4x4 drive .
