Posted by lovesmyron on 2/8/2007, 5:06 pm Before the play, I had talked to the box office manager and arranged to have a gift from me delivered to him. I had made him a collage of all the plays that he had been in for the past two years. I had asked him to meet me afterwards, but I was given no guarantee. I did have the absolute wonderful experience in meeting up with another SC fan Maireyna right before opening curtain. We chitchatted during intermission about how entertaining the play was. As we got closer to the ending scene, I got nervous with anticipation. Would lovesmyron finally meet her dream man? He then looked at the collage and remarked that he had forgotten even some of the plays that he had been in lately! He even laughed at the one picture of him when he was in Homewreckers. He said that he couldn’t believe that I had found so much stuff on his plays. Maireyna remarked that I help others know about his plays and he said “Really?” I told him that my nickname is lovesmyron. He was gracious to pose for several pictures and stayed with us for a good solid fifteen minutes. He is so down to earth and an amazingly nice person. He even remarked that he was glad to have finally met me as he received messages from me at his other plays. I truly was surprised that he would remember me! He talked to Mairenya for a while and remembered meeting her this pst summer. He only decided to leave when his stage manager came out to tell him that it was time to leave. If anyone would like to see my pics, feel free to email me. Girls I can say this, his eyes dimples, and smile are enough to make one drool all over them! His hair was so cute as he had it slicked back for the play and it was fighting its way loose. …and there were times when he talked to me that Myron himself was there with the way Steve expressed himself. I have been asked if it was all what I expected it to be and I can truly say…NO! It was 100 times better!
Hi everyone! I know that most of you know that I went to see Steve Caffrey in Private Lives on Tuesday night in Johnstown, PA. I had front row seats, so there were times that SC was right in front of me. The play was a delightful, witty satire on the joys and pitfalls of relationships. SC spoke in a British accent and played a rather egocentrical character. He was great at delivering his lines and kissed the leading lady several times. Sigh! LOL!
LOL! The actors came out for their final bow and then the house lights went up. I went to say goodbye to Mairenya and she encouraged me to hang around, so we went into the lobby. After about ten minutes, she looked into the stage area and said to me” I think someone is looking for you!” I popped my head in to the theater and SC yelled across the room”Hey, are you Leslie?” I went up to him and he gave me a bear hug and thanked me profusely for the collage. He was so impressed that I would have taken the time to do it for him. My husband and Mairenya quickly joined us and I introduced my husband to him. He asked how many years we had been married and was quite impressed that we will be reaching our 25th year in June. We talked a little about TOD and he told me that had been like way back 15-20 years ago and he now wishes he had taken notes while he was on the show.
He stopped for a minute and then laughed aloud. We expressed to him how much we want to know when he will be appearing on stage. He told me that he often has no idea when or where he will be appearing next ,but he said that he would try to get the word out.
