Posted by Erika on 12/8/2006, 1:18 pm, in reply to "Re: Tour of Duty Advisor Lee Russell has died" Lee Russell's kindness, warmth, and humor came through in his writings on this site and elsewhere in the ToD community, and I am enormously grateful he shared part of his life with us. Doc, I am very sorry you lost your good friend, and my thoughts are with you, his family and friends, and all of us affected by Lee Russell's passing. We will miss him very much.
I am very sad that Mr. Russell has passed away. It was a pleasure and a unique privilege to have him in our community. Lee Russell was very generous with his time and knowledge, and I always enjoyed what he had to say about Tour of Duty, Vietnam, the military, the television industry, and more. Remember the accents thread? Puerto Rican "BBQ" and "aunt" and "ant" and "aunt" and "font?" (And Doc running for cover in the Combat! fandom?) Crazy New York cabbies, and Mexican actors with French accents?
