What This was alot like the same problem that faced the old "Combat" or "MASH" series. To make a story interesting, it would cover weeks in a single episode. Did anyone else catch the fact that these guys stayed in Vietnam nearly 2 years. The show
starts in 1967 and concludes in late 1969. Too long for the Tours of Duty for Ruiz and Purcell.
Even with the 3 month extension for the instant out, it just does not add up.

was terrible for this -- they actually turned back the clock a number of times -- 1952 in
season 2, but 1951 in season 5. Continuity error city!
