I race at Irwindale almost every single Thursday night and with very few exceptions the track is sticky & well-prepped. Every drag racer knows all tracks can have questionable conditions for one reason or another but the Irwindale crew does one hell of a good job to make sure it doesn't happen very often. The entire Irwindale crew is knowledgeable & professional and they will not tolerate rowdy or disruptive racers/spectators which makes this the perfect track for me & my family to race safely and have fun. All cars are teched to prevent safety violations as well as checking for mufflers since this keeps the local city officials happy. Speaking for myself, I just wanna race, it's as simple as that. I'd much rather deal with a couple little bumps in the track than have my car up on jackstands all week to keep my slicks from going flat. Irwindale is safe, friendly and relatively inexpensive in these hard economic times...best of all, there are some incredibly nice folks that race there. So Dennis it's unfortunate that you had a bad experience at Irwindale but hopefully you'll give it at least one more chance. It's a great track with even greater people and who knows...you might even get to like it!
