Hello Hotdog: We have been two and one half years working on the land and the zoning. Here are the problems
1- we had fox field all lined up and ready to go-homeland security stepped in and said NO WAY as well as the FAA.
2- Palmdale airport land was brought up, -- they will lease to farmers and want to put up a mega buck solar layout there but will not even consider leasing land for a track. and the city of Palmdale is crying about how they want to get their land back.
3- many other parcels of land were brought to the table, Always zoning was brought up as an issue, not by us but by both cities.
4- both Cities are crying about how they are going to have to find more ways to make more money for the city coffers.
5- YOU MUST REMEMBER, THAT A TRACK WOULD BE IN THE CITY LIMITS OF EITHER PALMDALE OR LANCASTER.
6- Without either citys help zoning could not be changed.
7- LOS ANGELES COUNTY BUILDING, SAFETY, ZONING AND CODE ENFORCEMENT, THAT SHOULD JUST ABOUT SAY IT ALL.
8- Jeff is working on something, with Lancaster park and rec dept. to early to tell.
9- IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA, THAT WE HAVE NOT THOUGH OF, WE ALL WOULD BE MORE THAN WILLING TO LISTEN TO AND CHECK OUT
10- You must not think too badly of Andy, When Palmdale and Lancaster both had a chance to step up and help us and most everyone else, THEY DID NOTHING
11- FACTS+++ EVEN THOUGH,THE PEOPLE AND THE MONEY AND THE PLAN and the willingness to show how it can be done THEY ARE STILL DRAGGING THEIR FEET
12-- WE HAVE NOT GIVEN UP
All of that know Andy can understand why he feels that way
We have lost friends to street racing, two in OC just less that 7 months ago.
SO Mr. Hotdog 726, I KINDLY suggest that you get to know all of us here and the save LACR Boards. That suggestion was not meant to be a smartassed remark, But an invitation to join us and maybe you can think of something we haven't thought of. We are not perfect, Just Working towards the goal of having a track in the AV again.
