I raced this weekend at LACR, both saturday and sunday . The crowd on saturday night reminded me of the days when I first started racing LACR in 1988 , Lanes packed, tons of cars and people , and you had to be on your game or you got sent home early . The track was the best condition I have seen in many years . my car hooked hard most every pass . I had raced at other tracks a few times but I LEARNED how to race @ palmdale . Seeing it go is very hard to understand for me but it is how it is I went a few rounds each day and made it to the money on sunday . Granted it was just quarter money but hey I got some , heck, they even paged me to the tower to get it .( I also got the logo sign off the ticket booth to put up on my shop wall to remind me of the best place I ever raced ). Losing this place is like losing an old friend . Every one there is like family to me and I hope the best for all of them . My only regret today is not getting to shake Bernies hand before I left to go home. I know other people have had there gripes with him, but he has always treated me very well and always been fair with me . To you Bernie , I wish you the best of luck and I am going to pop in on you some day @ bama . As for LACR ,I have to say good bye old friend I will miss you dearly
