I will be sending the city/government officials a copy of my post. I do hope they build a replacement for LACR, but the one I race(d) will be forever gone. No doubt California needs to stop destroying race track if they are serious about gaining ground on the street racing situation. I used to enjoy the drive down to Carlsbad on days LACR did not run (rarely), but that one is gone as well. At least it gives some of us an out, instead of being forced on the back roads and desert roads. I used to partice my launches on 70th street east, as I am sure others did as well, and always thought behind the airport would be a great location for a track. But I have started seeing housing developments in that area, so who knows. I also enjoy going up to Willow Spring Raceway, so that may be an option.
