You are in my prayers, you and Sunny. In the back of my mind I sometimes wonder if the pain med Shiloh was on contributed to her rapid decline. It's too easy to second-guess. And we can't go back in time.
I had one vet in the past who was rabid for all pellets but I just ignored him. I was lucky with Shiloh, she loved the Kaytee Exact Natural pellets so she had a balance of quality seed and pellets.

Yes, we had a couple of past vets who believed birds should only eat pellets, too. Eventually it was learned that an all-pellet diet could actually be harmful! It can irreparably damage the kidneys. One of the reasons we like our current vet is she has a more common sense and science based knowledge of bird diets. She didn’t get her “nutrition education” from a pellet bag.
