I'm pretty sure when I gave Sunny a treat stick, he was so excited and chomped at it and a piece flew into his eye. Since then, he's kept one eye closed intermittently and squinting and completing closing it like its irritated. I feel so bad. It's been a few hrs and I feel like he opens his eye for a bit then he has to close it again. Has anyone else had this problem and how long did it take for your tiel to recover? I hope he didnt do any permanent damage! If in the next 24 hrs I dont see improvement, I will take him to the vet. He has no other symptoms to note of concern so I'm pretty sure its a particle in his eye. Its not even swollen!

His eye is fully closed and won't open. We are going to the vet today. I hope it's nothing too serious. I'm thinking it's an eye injury due to a particle of something or possibly sinus infection that had no other symptoms. Came on really suddenly though. If it was a mini stroke, I don't think he would have been acting so normal yesterday otherwise. By 11 or 12 last night, it seemed like he couldn't open his eye and kept rubbing his eye with his wing.

Praying Sunny's eye problem is not serious and the vet can easily treat it. Please let us hear what the vet found. Sending love to you little Sunny.
