My mom. in fact, was an English teacher, and so was one of my sisters. All of us nine siblings are good English speakers and writers, and some of us have been published.

Oral tradition in my mother's family has it that my maternal grandmother, Constancia Bernardo y Sugay was the first native teacher to teach English in Pampanga, having been trained by the Thomasites. I would like to be able to confirm this and I wonder if anyone knows of a list of the natives that were trained by the Thomasites in Pampanga, specifically in the town of Mexico, the town where my maternal grandmother was from.
