My name is Richard Andrews, grandson of Claude E. Andrews, a Thomasite teacher in Alcala and Tuguegarao. I remember three Stoops boys, cousins of Johnny Roa Andrews (my first cousin). I assume you are one of them. I knew your mother and your father. Your grandfather and my grandfather were contempory teachers in Alcala/Tuguegarao in the early 1900's. My grandfather came to the Philippines in 1902. Your garndfather my have come at the same time. Carl Stoops and Claude Andrews were business associates in the transportation company called Red Line along with a third Thomasite (Hawkins???). My grandfather eventually sold his share of the business to your grandfather and secured the "Caltex" retail gasoline franchise for Tuguegaroa. This is all I know.
