Agnes Maufit's father was Jose Maufit whose father was a Thomasite who taught in Isabela. They are not sure if that was the surname of their grandfather because in those days the name when pronounced was something like Moffet, Maffet or Mauvity. Will someone check any Thomasite by those surnames or the other Thomasites who came to the Philippines after the first and succeeding batches?
