I'm doing a family history on my second last name. "GABOT", all I now is that my great grandfather was a french sailor that landed in the Dominican Republic married a Haitian woman. But I'm trying to find what those Gabot mean and were is it located in Europe or else where. I would greatly appreciate the information.
