This day I purchased a postcard with the color image of USAT Thomas on the front.
On the back is the following text:
Dear Al,
Here is the boat I spent 27 days on. It is the largest and nicest of all the transports.
Wish you could take a trip on it to see us. I like it better here each day.

I did not thoroughly peruse your passenger/teacher list, but suspect Gertrude ____________ could be found there.
The card is addressed to:

Your Gertrude had a beautiful hand.
