I would walk him towards the box and as soon as he shows negative signs towards the box, turn him and walk him back away there should be no punishiment involved here. Keep doing this until you finally get in the box. He should get a little closer everytime until he finally gets in. Once he is in just relax and give him a pat on the neck. For some reason or another he thinks the box is bad, so make him think otherwise.
