stay/be calm with your horse make the box his"happy place". if he acts up in the box, lope him(not run)around the arena until he wants a breather.don't get him hot. when he wants that breather, walk him toward/into the box. if he refuses, immediately lope him around the arena again. it won't take him long to realize you're trying to give him a break in the box. once he is in there,let him rest and relax there.
