In the 70's there was a programme (for adults) about a Policeman with a Geordie actor in the lead role if I recall.
He then went on to do a kids programme that irritated the hell out of me. It was a space age thing that was a combination of him dressed up in a spangly silver outfit and acting (really badly) and some cardboard cut-out animation. Think there might have been some sort of clue solving required by audience. Any ideas? Sorry I dont have much to go on. If it helps I think it was only on on Fridays :-)
