Posted by Iain at Little Gems The second season takes place in 1890 and now Andrew Flaxton (the son) and his friend try to solve the mystery of Jonathan Flaxton and find the rightful heir to Flaxton Hall. There was a third and fourth season involving the next generations of the family and Flaxton Hall. The books were written by Sid Waddell. Does this sound right. If not I'll keep looking.

Hi there,
Could be "The Flaxton Boys." Season one was shown in 1969. the period is 1854 at Flaxton Hall which is badlu in need of money being spent on it. Two boys one called Jonathan Flaxton explore the grounds and run into hauntings & convicts who believe treasure is buried somewhere in the Hall.
