Thanks heaps for your reply. I have never read the WatchHouse so I had a bit of a peruse. I am pretty sure it's not that. I can almost remember an Australian accent on the 2nd series I described. It was possibly one of the many British/Australian or Australian/New Zealand collaborations for children's TV dramas.
The 1st one was definitely English.
Uggh. So frustrating.
