Its a shame to hear that some were destroyed : It seems strange that the main companys never put it out on vhs etc given that Rupert is ( or at least was ) a huge phenomena - & that this series is generally well regarded & reasonably well remembered ( the theme song being v. popular etc). I think the annuals reached a sales peak in the 60s & almost as many in the early 70s ( if I remember correctly ) - ie a potentially huge dvd market of people who were young in that period, as well as all Rupert fans in general of course. As you say; hopefully raretv will come up trumps on this at some point! All the best, Tim

Maybe by now whoever has the surviving ones will have had the good sense to have made some safety copies.
