yes I don't blame you for probably giving the set a miss. Also as these DFS releases seem to be fairly definitive it would seem fairly unlikely that the 14 eps of "Pogles' Wood" not on it will be released in the near future; Hopefully I'm wrong about this though & they will get a release! Apparently OP was very critical about the 1st Noggin film ( from 1959 ), but this was eventually released ( on the complete Noggin DVD released by the DFS). As you say hopefully all the Smallfilms back catolog will be released in the next few years - in which case perhaps when everything else is out on DVD then maybe the missing PWs will be released! The other one OP's been reluctant to release apparently is the black & white Ivor The Engines from the 50's & 60's : As I've mentioned it might be worth emailing OP via the DFS or one of his other sites to say how much we'd particularly like to see a complete Pogles Wood; I probably won't email DFS again as I've mentioned this specific subject at least twice in past emails. But a similar sort of email from different people might help to get them released after all perhaps ( & a sooner rather than later release would be nice of course! ) All the best to you Dan & to anyone else interested in these matters of Pogledom, Tim Ps : When you mentioned "Watch With Mother : The Next Generation" I think you mean Honey Bees ( not Cake crumbs )as thats the PW ep on that vhs ( & its that one which won't be on the DVDs ). "Cake Crumbs" ( which is easy to confuse with "Honey Bees" as they are the only ones which are probably from PW series 1 rather than series 2 )is ( as I know you're aware )on the vhs entitled "Pogles Wood".
Being a complete Pogles Wood fanatic I will of course be buying it - partly because as well as the "nostalgia" factor I particularly love the style of animation & other contents he uses in PW.
reason & intuition suggests he's probably thought about it fairly thoroughly & presumably has heard various people making the case for a complete release.
Tho in another sense that bodes badly - ie these DFS releases seem to be the definitive releases as mentioned, yet only 12 PW's...
Only the 1st 6 of these have ever been released ( on vhs ).
Tho at least the unreleased b/w ones were retold ( refilmed ) in colour in the 70s & of course in that edition are easily available .
( The 1st 6 b/w ones got a release I think because these ones weren't retold in the 70s.
Hence their vhs title : "Ivor - The First Story". )
as maybe then he may realise a bit more that there is a genuine "demand" for them from us fans, who, like you say Dan, would be happy with & get great enjoyment from all the unseen episodes whatever "shortcomings" he may feel they have.
And as such will be on the DVDs.
