Posted by Toby on April 15, 2006, 6:02 pm, in reply to "NEED HELP" With Honda being so popular here in Thailand, most bike shops of any repute know how to work on them too. Though the 200cc Phantom is the biggest made in Thailand, the popularity of the Shadows and Steeds means parts are readily available. As far as where to buy one, there are always heaps of 2nd hand ones advertised, even on this site. Siam Superbike in Bangkok is a well known and respected bike dealer and will offer a limited warranty on bikes bought there. They'll even give any bike your're looking at buying the once over to see if all is OK for a modest fee. The following link also provides other shops that you may like to check out. A 400 to 750cc is not, IMHO, a big bike. Over 750cc is, strictly speaking, a big bike. This is the classification used for Superbike racing. Hope my ramble is of some help. Welcome back to the world of 2 wheels and keep the shiny side up!

I would say you'd be best off with a Honda chopper style. A Steed or Shadow would fit the bill. They're comfortable, reliable, not overly fast, cheap to buy and run and they're easy to ride. What's more, there's plenty of hand holds for the young fella to hang on to unlike the sports bikes.
