I was there July-August. We were the group mostly wearing woodland camouflage. A few of the 2yr prior enlisted had MARPAT. Our squad bay was near the supply area. I remember a few of the guys saying that they never knew they'd ever be so eager to get back to Pendleton.
I left the base knowing that much can be learned from talking to Marines close to my age and below the rank of Corporal. I like to see the other side of the Marine Corps that I don't get from the MECEP Marines and the ROTC assigned staff.
