You don’t want to do it, man, even if you’re faking a suicide to get out of the Marine Corps. When you’re back out in the civilian world and you try to find a job, you’ll have to show them your DD214 probably for the rest of your working life. They need to know who your previous employers were and they want to know if you served in the military if you got out in good standing or at least a general discharge. (They can easily do background checks). But if you try to commit suicide or fake a suicide to get out it’ll limit your choices of employment. You might regret it more in the civilian world than whatever bad experience you had in the Marine Corps. The previous company I use to work for likes hiring veterans and supports reservists, as is the current company I help run. (The pay and benefits is way better). But if you try to pull suicide even if you’re faking it and it’s documented it in your DD214, they might not hire a suicidal person as soon as they see what’s on your DD214. I think most employers and most jobs are closed to you if you’re a suicide like school bus driver, schoolteacher, truck driver, nuclear engineer, restaurant cook, airline aircraft mechanic, or a police officer. It already proves that you’re an irrational person and they’ll think you might pull some stupid stunt again. Even if you think it sucks or you had a bad experience in the Marine Corps just serve out your time and get a good life when you finish your time. Good luck.
