Nothing they mentioned about boot camp would lead anyone to believe anything about no cursing, and certainly nothing to do with not getting up close to recruits. Stressful? They told me about the suicide attempts. Yes, even today, there are recruits being put on suicide watch. Keep in mind, I talked to these Marines in person. This was the most accurate information on the topic that I have ever received.

Couldn't be true---- I had a discussion with some young Marines who just got done with the Assault Climber Course when I was at Mountain Warfare Training Center (Bridgeport, CA). All three were still in their first enlistment, and all OIF veterans. While I do not remember their ranks, I assume they were in the Pvt-PFC-LCpl range. Judging from their age they were definitely in boot long after the "changes in Marine boot camp" had been supposedly implemented.
