Ah, what a wonderful world you live in. Too bad that I am not in it. You go off on someone solely on one internet posting? I was charged for something that I accidently did. What was it? A neglegant discharge because someone told me that I had a cleared weapon. That person was a Sargeant. He told me that I didn't have to clear it. I listened to him. He was wrong. One round mind you, one , was discharged from the M240 and I lost my rank. I was used as an example. A machine gunner had one on a MK-19 and he kept his rank. I am not an 03. I am a good ol' Pogue. After men, two others had "ND's" and kept their ranks as well. I lost mine? Why? I do not know. They were all grunts. I wasn't. Injustice? Their company explained some of them, I was left to burn. My company tried to fight for me. I do my job and did it well. My Pro/Con marks are 4.6/3.9 (NJP). So evidently I know my MOS. All I saw in Iraq was death. Granted we did help out the Iraqi people but in truth we are there to die for the cause. Far too many have died and for what? I have lost three close friends over there. I lost my childhood friend. He was in the Army. So much changes the second someone you know and know very well dies because someone wanted him to. Do not attempt to lecture me for it falls on deaf ears. I do not hate the Marine Corps, I just know it is not for me.
