Well....just keep in touch as often as possible. Weither it be by phone or by emails. He should at his first duty station be able to have email access at least-every base has a computer lab-at least I think they do-every one we've ever been to has. Be honest with each other. It'll be hard I'm sure-but hey we did it for 17 months.
