Usually it is 24 months from the date you were awarded the MOS. However, like everthing else, it is more based on the needs of the Marine Corps. If you're going to intel, EOD, MP (K-9 especially), or most of the 03 field, you might be able to move quickly. If you are trying to leave that field, you might as well forget it. Your best bet is to talk to your career planner. Hope this helps; keep us posted.
